Hey there!

These posts are just notes to my sons, but you're welcome to read on if you're inclined to do so.

Week 2

Oh my goodness! You have changed so much since day 1. Yes, you're still tiny and still sleep and eat ALL THE TIME. You have grown...fatter, like we were fattening you up on purpose. Well, we are, but not for any reason other than to make sure you grow. Your little belly has plumped WAY out. Your legs and arms are filling out and your double chin is getting...doubler...

You lost your cord stump Saturday morning, and that night we gave you your first in-tub-bath. I think you liked it. Well, at least you didn't NOT like it. Daddy took pictures, and then got you dressed, and you didn't even protest!

You've started spitting up everything that goes into your belly. Not just little "blurps", but full out emptying-my-stomach spit ups. You managed to soak one burp rag after one feeding. Grandma McMillen says it's normal to have days like that. I just hope it's only this one day. Else, I'd smell like spit up all day long.

We also started putting you to sleep on your tummy for even night-time sleep. You sleep for about 3 hours if you're on your tummy. If not, you wake up about every 2 hours. That makes for a very long night, and almost impossible to go anywhere during the day.

We went to the zoo Saturday with Aunt Melinda, and Grandma. Your dad and I weren't impressed, neither were you. I think it'd be a good place to go when you're older and care about the animals. You just slept. We left the diaper bag at home, as well as the camera. But I managed to snap a few pictures with my phone.

Sunday, at church, everyone was excited to see you. They all commented on your hair and think you look like Daddy. I dunno though. I think you're a mesh of both of us. We'll just have to watch as you change.

I think you're going to end up being a talker. You make so many noises as you sleep, eat, and do anything. It's like little moans as you breathe. And sometimes it sounds like happy baby cooing, but then I look at you and you're sleeping. It'd be very drastic change. Your daddy and I aren't talkers much, and if you are. Well, that'll be interesting.

Keep growing, Brendon. Grow strong and healthy. I love you.
