Hey there!

These posts are just notes to my sons, but you're welcome to read on if you're inclined to do so.

Month Four

Whoa! What did you do with my cute little floppy newborn? This self-entertaining, vocalizing, laughing infant can not possibly be the little baby. Oh, but it is. From the time we first saw you on that ultrasound as a little bean with arms and legs, you've made amazing transformations.

I've seen you attempting to think about turning over, just a glimmer of intent. But then, you realize, nah, I'm good right here.
Two words, rice cereal. Reaction: not so much fond of it. You know the rhyme, some like it hot, some like it cold? Yeah, maybe not, but, you like it hot. And it gets cold fast. Maybe you'll warm up to it...ha! get it? warm up!? haha! *crickets chirp* I have some sweet potatoes in the cabinet for you. I'll pull them out for Thanksgiving. I thought it would be appropriate :)
I absolutely love making you laugh and giggle. You haven't giggled again, like the video we got that one day, but I can tell you want to. You smile and and open your mouth wide, and tense up, like you're trying to squeeze it out....but nothing comes out. Just air. Sometimes a burp, more often spit-up. But no laughs.
I went and gathered up all those newborn clothes that you fit into for about a week and packed them all up. I kept out your going home outfit, the first shoes, your first Nuk, and the hat from the hospital. I took all those stuffs and put them...I'd say a keepsake box, but I didn't. I put them in a dresser drawer until I can find a keepsake box. Oh, and mine and your name bands from the hospital.

Keep growing, Brendon. I love you.
