I'm late, I know it. Going back to work is still a little rocky. I wish I didn't; yet at the same time, I'm happy to have a job to go to. One good thing about the hours is that I get whole days off to spend with you. That means, however, that one days I do work, I don't see you except to wake you up, feed you, and say good-bye. Then when I get home, I feed you and put you to bed. I miss you on those days. You and daddy have some good times together, I'm sure. Like when you guys went to Best Buy and bought Halo for his X-Box.
I'm not sure what you and Tita Christina and Braden do while I'm at work, but you seem to not mind it. I guess as long as you have something to eat and a place to sleep, you're pretty content. You've started to laugh these past few weeks. I love listening to it. More often than not, you end up with the hiccups too. That makes it even more funnier to get you laughing! A few times I've gotten the hiccups, which made you laugh...then you got the hiccups. What a pair we made hiccuping and laughing at each other. Poor daddy, I think he might have felt left out :( but he was a good sport :)
You haven't really shown any interest in rolling over. Maybe that's because you like you're tummy-time and I don't put you on your back too much. You'd rather sit up than lay flat or even on an incline. You strain to pull your head up, so you can show me that you're not a baby anymore. Wow, I'm not even sure I want to think about you growing and crawling and walking and talking! I've really enjoyed these baby days.
Christmas is right around the corner, and I was able to get off to spend it with you and daddy. I'm excited to see how you react to snow (if we get any), if you're interested in presents (or just the wrapping paper), and singing Christmas songs to you.
You had a great thing going on-you slept through the night! But then I went back to work and I think it messed with you. So you wake up about 3 am. I try to convince you to go back to sleep until 530, when I succumb and feed you. I'm still waiting for the days when you go to sleep at 830, and sleep until 830. Eh, it'll probably never come, but a girl's got to hope!
Keep growing, Brendon. I love you.
