Hey there!

These posts are just notes to my sons, but you're welcome to read on if you're inclined to do so.

Week 39

We have reached the end of the line, the dead end, the closed door. Fin. The End. Finale. Whatever it's called, it's here. You have lived inside my uterus for a full 9 months (give or take a few days) and now it's time for you to come out! Sad, I know, but all good things must come to an end.

I know I will miss your fluttering, the hiccups, the quivers, and yes, even the rib and hip jabs. But I'd rather have you in my arms than still kicking my insides.

Gavin, you're about to change this family. The change will be hard at first, I'm sure. But it will be so worth it! The doctor's appointment today went well. Doc thinks you're going to be making your debut before Thursday. Thursday is the day, Gavin. Please? Please let it be the day! My hips and legs and back can't keep going much longer. Plus, your daddy is ready to meet you and hold you. I bet he'll even change a few diapers :)

Keep growing, Gavin. I love you.
