Week 25

Baby Mac,
I think you're going to be more active that your brother, and I can't even begin to fathom that. We had our 6 month visit last week. I had to drink this nasty sugary drink to see if I have developed diabetes, if so, high sugar levels could make you grow to fast, not develop any faster, just bigger. It gave me awful heart burn and I couldn't take anything to help it! Hopefully I'll get the results back soon. Next month is our last monthly appointment, then we go to every two weeks. They're going to do another ultrasound, because your placenta attached a little lower then they'd like. But we're going to see if it moved up. I haven't had any symptoms that it's too low, so maybe everything is good.

Your room is a mess. The crib isn't even in there, and your rocking chair is in Brendon's room. There's boxes full of Brendon's out grown clothes waiting for you. We just need to organize, put the too-big clothes away and pull out the bitty newborn clothes. I need to figure out a solution for your clothes, because I think we're going to skip a dresser for you, until you're older.

I also want to decorate your room. I thought about doing it like Brendon's was, with stripes and stars and such, but you're a new person, and need a new design. I'm going to go with the book "Guess How Much I Love You." Daddy and I have to buy paint and get it up on the walls. Gramma Mac bought you some wall decals and boarders. Aunt Melinda is making you a blanket. You've got two blankets already waiting for you. One's a little girly, but if we lay you right in the middle, you'll cover up the purple cross. Then I need to start working on a quilt for you. Oh, I have so much left to do in the few short month you have left to bake. But if I don't get it done, it will be OK because you'll be here, joining our family!

Keep growing, Baby Mac. I love you.
