week 36

Dear Brendon,
We're not exactly at 36 weeks gestation, but close enough. We went to the doctor's office today. They told me your head was way down in my pelvis, -1 station. Meaning your head fits so far, that's good. Doc wasn't going to estimate on your weight yet, but he might in a few more weeks. But in a few more weeks, we might not have to estimate, we can weigh you exactly. I'm really excited to meet you on the outside.
You have such a personality. You seem to like to get your feet or back or *something* wedged in between my hip bones and *stretch* as far as you can. Every once in a while, you press your toes against my ribs and smoosh my bladder. That's not always fun, but I like the moving :D
We've been reading 'Good Night, Moon' to you every once in a while before bed, and it's probably our imagination, but it seems as if you know it means bedtime. Your daddy enjoys feeling you move around inside of me. And I'm glad. I think it makes it more real to him. I can tell he's going to be a great dad.
He's already talking about going shooting with you, and wants to buy you a gun. Uncle David is already going to give you a shotgun that he and your dad both own. Although it's a little big for you to try to shot anytime within the next 10 years or so, you're going to have to wait until you're at least 5 to get more than one gun. It won't be that long, don't worry.
Keep growing, Brendon, be born strong and healthy. I love you.
